Project Brief

Create a precinct for Kindergarten to Year 2 students, supporting the modern and traditional Salesian values, incorporating play-based learning in the natural setting and within the greater College Campus. Structural, civil and hydraulic engineering services provided to the design team.

Key Challenges

Working to the budget and programme as per the school term and time restraints, for minimal disruption to students. A design that feels protected for the early years yet embraces the surrounding environment and also allows connectivity to the campuses for the later years.

Result

Due to the success of this of this project and the strong, ongoing relationship with the client, we continued on with the masterplan for the connecting campuses: a new precinct for years 3-6 and the refurbishment and reuse of an existing building for years 7-10 including the chapel.
