Building projects are complex – even small ones. They involve many individual design and documentation tasks as well as constant decision making across a design team whose members often have quite different focuses.

These decisions affect the cost, complexity, functionality, aesthetic and overall quality of the finished product, and it is important that both designer and client understand each other’s expectations to avoid misunderstandings and disappointment. It is our experience that well informed clients are more likely to have their expectations met or exceeded.

In this section of our website we have put together a collection of documents that address some of the issues that, in our experience, have caused issues for both ourselves and our clients.
